What our students have to say...

Lacey Smith

Lacey Smith UAS has been a great place to develop the skills I will need to become a scientist. Research opportunities are vast and set in realistic settings where I can expect to work once I graduate. The faculty is supportive and they really help you develop yourself consciously with your future in mind. This and the small class design are really a great asset to this school.

Jon Bower

Jon Bower Studying for my degree in Environmental Sciences at UAS was one of the greatest experiences of my life. The small student to faculty ratio provided an opportunity for interactive and dynamic discussions in upper division coursework. In addition, there were unique opportunities for undergraduate students to get involved with research in the environmental sciences. For example, I was able to work on projects looking at water quality in streams, heavy-metal mobility in peat wetlands, and solute loading in snowpacks.
