Important Information About the ENVT Program

The University of Alaska SE will discontinue the Environmental Technology Program due to low enrollment. While it is true that the AAS Degree, Certificate, and Occupational Endorsements will be discontinued, we will be phasing the program out over the next two to three years. Those students who have been previously accepted into the program and have declared their major in Environmental Technology will be able to finish the program. This is our commitment to our students. Any student who wants to earn a AAS Degree in Environmental Technology should immediately apply for the program by the end of the year to "lock" themselves into the program. New students will not be accepted into the program after the first of the year.

Any person is welcome to take ENVT courses when they are offered whether or not they are formally in the program. However, unless they are admitted into the program and have declared their major they will not be able to use those credits toward the AAS degree.

In the near future, ATTAC will begin focusing on delivering quality web-based CEU courses in addition to our water and wastewater workshops that lead to state certification. If you have further questions, please contact ATTAC.
