Alaska Operator Certification Information

Safe drinking water is essential to public health and having properly trained individuals is vital to community sanitation. An operator has the most important job in the community in regards to protecting public health.

Our goal at ATTAC is to assist operators in developing, enhancing and maintaining technical, managerial, and financial capacity of their systems for increased public health protection and sustained compliance with the SDWA requirements. We strive to provide operators with top quality training, customer service, and information.

Alaska Certified Water/Wastewater Operator Database

The Operator Database has three parts; System Classification, Operator Certification and Library. The System Classification link allows you to view water and wastewater systems in any Alaskan community and their specific classifications. The Library link allows you to search for resources and check out books, videos, and other course material.

For viewing a directory of certified operators, finding specific operators, their level, license number, expiration date and location use the Operator Certification link. This link also has a password section for operators to review CEU information.Your online record will show you the courses you have taken and if they are core or non-core. To review your education record online you must first have a password. If you do not know your password, contact the Operator Training and Certification Program.


CEU Information


Level 1-4 Exam Information

The Alaska Operator Training and Certification Program administers certification exams prepared by the Association of Boards of Certification (ABC) for the following system types and levels:

   Water Treatment 1, 2, 3, 4
   Water Distribution 1, 2, 3, 4
   Wastewater Collection 1, 2, 3, 4
   Wastewater Treatment 1, 2, 3, 4
