Power Technology Occupational Endorsement
with an emphasis in Diesel/Heavy Duty Mechanics
The HEAVY DUTY Occupational Endorsement is for the student wanting to enter the non-marine side of the diesel mechanic field. This program covers all machine systems as well as the diesel engine. All of the classes are at least 50% hands-on which lets the student practice their new skills. UAS has a wide selection of excellent training aids.
Employment possibilities could include:
- Earthmoving companies
- AC power generation
- Trucking fleets
- Freight handlers
- State or city maintenance shops
- Airport maintenance
- Machinery dealers
- Mining companies
- Logging companies
- Tour bus operations
- Sand and gravel operations
Occupational endorsements are programs of study designed to give students intensive training in a specific occupational field.
Typically an occupational endorsement is less than 30 credits, and is not an eligible program for financial aid.
