Alan Jones: 2012 Outstanding Graduate in Diesel Technology
“I think highly of the UAS Diesel Technology program and faculty. It offers great opportunities for career advancement. It really prepares you for getting a job. I was working in my industry even before I finished my program.”
Alan Jones is grateful for his UAS education in power technology with a diesel emphasis. He powered through the two year program in about a year and a half. Alan recommends the program to recent high school graduates or anyone “looking to get into a solid job field.”
Alan thanks his father and wife for their support and instructors Chuck Craig and Mike Bell for their “exemplary efforts and to all the faculty and staff in Career Education for their professional influence.” His favorite UAS class was in Power Generation because as he recalls, “It's EXCITING!!!”
In his spare time Alan enjoys spending time his wife Grace, dogs Sandy and Maggie, bonsai and gardening.
His career goals include contributing to the arena of responsible natural resource research and development.
