Erin Tripp: 2013 Outstanding Graduate in Liberal Arts (Juneau)
"Erin is fantastic and the theater world is lucky that she's dedicated herself to acting. She's a sophisticated thinker, a great performer, involved in many student clubs, and very funny. She and Heather LaVerne are co-hosting the UAS Radio Show on Sunday afternoons and they play off each other wonderfully. They also bring a welcome levity to voice and empowerment because they understand serious issues but they can't help finding humor in life." — Arts and Sciences Nominating Committee
I am a member of multiple clubs on campus. I'm the chair of Wooch.een, social chair and singer with Alaskapella, a performer with UAS improv, and co-host a show on UAS radio. I'm currently rehearsing for "The Road Weeps, The Well Runs Dry" at Perseverance Theatre which opens in the beginning of May.
After graduating, I'm going to continue acting and have applied for an internship at Perseverance. Eventually, I'd like to get an M.F.A. in theatre and, down the road, an M.A.T. from UAS.
UAS' 2013 Juneau Commencement will be held May 5 at 2:00 p.m. at the UAS Recreation Center.
Crystal Rogers is receiving her Bachelor of Liberal Arts degree in Independent Design, focusing on the art, language, government and history of indigenous and Western societies in Alaska, with a minor in Tlingit.
