Group work (and related techniques like team based learning), at their best, foster cooperative learning environments where students collaborate with and learn from one another in pursuit of a common goal. Productive group contexts can, however, be challenging to create and maintain, as faculty and group members wrestle with varying levels of motivation and engagement. If you’re looking for methods and approaches for incorporating group work in your course, check out the resources below, attend a CELT workshop, and/or contact CELT staff for additional guidance and support.
