The Cohort Model
Candidates move through the program with a supportive group of peers, a cohort. A cohort may have candidates from the same district or from across districts. We encourage districts and candidates to identify colleagues who may have an interest in this program to apply as a cohort.
Course Delivery
Candidates for the graduate certificate endorsement and/or the M.Ed. in Reading take one or two courses per semester by distance, beginning with the summer session . Review the course sequence possibilities to plan your course of study. Distance coursework is mostly through the internet, with some weekly designated "class" time and other discussion formatted time at the student's discretion. One course requires on-campus attendance for three weeks during the second summer for a reading practicum course (EDRE 676).
