Application Requirements

We are now accepting applications for candidates in our fourth cohort. Application materials must be received by mid-January to be considered in the first round for the 2012-2013 program. Secondary review of applications will be completed in an on-going manner, based upon available space.

Important Note: Mail the following items to UAS Admissions 11120 Glacier Highway, NOV2, Juneau, AK 99801.

  1. A completed graduate application and $60 processing fee.
  2. Official academic transcript indicating baccalaureate degree and a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  3. Document at least three years public school teaching experience.  Each school district worked for must complete this Employment Verification form.
  4. Letter of recommendation and support from the superintendent of schools from the district in which the internship will occur.
  5. Statement of Professional Objectives. This is a 2-3 page typewritten and double spaced formal paper containing: 
    A.  the candidate's educational and professional experiences and
    B.  outline the professional goals to be achieved through the M.Ed. in 
         Educational Leadership.
