Password Changing Issues & Workarounds

Occasionally, when a you access UASOnline you will be informed that your password is about to expire, at which point you will be redirected to ELMO where you can change their password. This can cause you problems with connections to UAS services on your computer.

How to Avoid the Trap

Logged on to a campus computer while on campus – Immediately after changing your password, log off of the computer and log back on using your new password.

Logged on to a campus laptop that is off-campus – When you are ready to bring the computer back to campus.  Log off of the computer, bring it back to campus and log on using your new password.

Using a personal computer on campus – Disconnect all campus printers and shared drives, then reconnect to them using your new password.
