Instructions for Mozilla Backup

MozBackUp can be downloaded from here.

 Installation

  1. Ensure Thunderbird is closed
  2. Run the mozbackup-1.4.8-EN.exe file
  3. Click Next on the welcome screen
  4. Click I agree to the License Terms
  5. Click Install - do NOT change the destination folder
  6. Click Close

Creating a Backup

  1. Run Mozilla Backup
  2. Click Next on the welcome screen (Figure 1)
  3. Chose Backup a profile and Mozilla Thunderbird as the application (Figure 2)
  4. Click Next
  5. Choose default as the profile (Figure 3)
  6. Do NOT change the destination folder.
  7. Click Next
  8. Decide if you want it password protected(If yes, choose a password)
  9. Choose the aspects of your profile for which you would like to create a backup (Figure 4)
  10. Click Finish
