Install Symantec Endpoint Protection 11 on Windows Vista

Download the installer from http://uas.alaska.edu/pub/downloads

Open downloaded installer

Click Run, if prompted with a security warning

Click Next

Click I accept the terms in the license agreement

Click Next

Choose Unmanaged Client

Click Next

Choose Custom

Click Next

Click Network Threat Protection, then choose This feature will not be available.

Click Application and Device Control, then choose This feature will not be available.

Click Next

Choose Enable Auto-Protect

Choose Run LiveUpdate

Choose Disable Windows Defender

Click Next

Click Install

The program will install with the selected settings. This may take a few minutes.

Once completed, click Finish

The LiveUpdate process will initiate at or before the end of the install process. Please be connected to the internet to allow this to run course. There are approximately 30-40 MB of definitions to download � this may take a few minutes depending on your internet connection speed.

Once complete, click Close

You will need to restart your computer to complete the installation
