^1 . How do I add a channel?

While signed into MyUA:

  1. Click on the 'Content/Layout' above your tabs.
  2. Click on the Tab you want the channel.
  3. Then click the 'Add Channel' button where ever you want to insert the channel.
  4. Select 'Select All'  from the drop down list. Click the 'Go' button.
  5. Click on the desired channel.
  6. Click 'finished'.

^2 . I do not see any personal or system announcements. What is going on?

It is likely that there have been no announcements pertinent to you, since you joined the portal.  Personal and System announcements will only appear in the channels, if you have joined the portal or joined a group prior to the announcement being sent. 

For example, as a group leader, Alison sends an announcement to the group of an event.  Everyone in the group will see the announcement in their Personal announcements.  Coincidentally five minutes after that, Dave joins the same group.  Dave will not see the message in his Personal announcement channel, but can check the announcement history in the group to find out what has been sent prior to joining the group.

^3 . The username and password fields on the login page are missing. How do I restore them?

Make sure that javascript has not been disabled on your computer.

To enable JavaScript in Firefox 2.xx series:

  1. Open Firefox.
  2. On the Tools menu, click Options.
  3. Click on the Content icon.
  4. Check the box next to Enable JavaScript.
  5. Click OK.
