The UAS Ketchikan Campus Library is a selective depository of federal government documents. These publications of the U.S. government are excellent sources of statistical information and authoritative studies on many subjects. Departments, agencies, museums and offices of the federal government publish reports, texts of hearings or proceedings, statistics, periodicals, handbooks and bibliographies.

The UAS Ketchikan Campus Library collects approximately 4% of all U.S. federal government documents published, with an emphasis on materials published by the departments of Agriculture, Education, and Labor and documents relating to the State of Alaska.
