Admissions & Tuition

You are welcome to register for individual classes without applying for formal admission to the University. However, if you wish to complete a degree program, you must apply for program admission requiring a $50 application fee. Some types of financial aid also require formal admission.

Admission is guaranteed to all Alaskans who have earned a high school diploma or completed the GED. Admission forms are available at the registration desk or from counselors. Students wishing to complete the GED in order to qualify for admission should contact Lynne Davis at 747-7785 or e-mail her at lynne.davis@uas.alaska.edu.

UAS advisors are available to help you select the program and the classes you need. Career information, financial aid assistance and catalogs of transfer universities are also available.

For a counseling appointment, call 747-7703 or 747-7700.
