The Telehealth Coordinator training program is designed for those working in health care organizations who would like to further their knowledge and skills in using the technologies available for health care delivery and informatics.

Through a sequence of UAS's three online courses, you will gain a complete comprehension of implementation and best practices in the telehealth field, including the various applications, specialty uses, rural impact, case management, and business aspects of building a new program in your area (or enhancing your current program).

Alaska Federal Health Care Access Network (AFHCAN) and the University of Alaska Southeast, Sitka Campus have partnered to create and offer this online telehealth workforce training certification program nationwide, funded by the US Department of Commerce.

In order to participate in one of these online courses, you will need:

  • A computer with internet access
  • Speakers and a microphone or headphones
  • An e-mail address that is your own, not shared (we can help you with this if necessary)

Details for course enrollment and payment can be accessed through our online registration system.

After you have registered for a course, you will receive an email with your online course access information. It may take up to 24-48 hours for your course to be available to you.

Please don’t hesitate to contact us for assistance if you have any questions.

A Certified Telehealth Coordinator certificate for continuing education contact hours is sent to you upon completion of the first two courses.

A Certified Telehealth Program Manager certificate for continuing education contact hours is sent to you upon completion of all three courses.
