Faculty Research Grant Competition Announced

Application Deadline: December 22.

Alaska EPSCoR (Experimental Program to Stimulate Competitive Research) is pleased to announce its competition for faculty research grants for the 2010 spring semester. These grants are intended to support research in landscape genetics to help faculty become more competitive in attracting research funding.

Faculty employed by UAA, UAF, and UAS in Spring 2010 are welcome to apply. Awards will be in the form of research grant funds of up to $20,000. Note that we have only $40,000 maximum funding available so the number of funded proposals will be inversely proportional to the size of each award. We will try to strike a balance to enable funding as many proposals as possible.

The overarching EPSCoR theme, Resilience and Vulnerability in a Rapidly Changing North: The Integration of Physical, Biological and Social Processes, is described on our website, www.alaska.edu/epscor. To be considered, faculty will need to be working in the sub-area of Landscape Genetics or a related topic.

Application Deadline: December 22.
