Staff Development Day Set for May 21
The theme this year revolves around staff input to strategic planning.
All UAS staff members are invited to Staff Development Day 2010, scheduled for Friday May 21 in the campus Recreation Center. The theme this year revolves around staff input to strategic planning. Vice Chancellor Bruce Gifford will lead the group a SWOT Analysis, a tool to define Strengths (S), Weaknesses (W), Opportunities (O), and Threats (T). We will break into small groups and list responses to each of the four categories. This is the opportunity for staff members to give their opinions and be involved in the strategic planning process.
Afternoon sessions will include choices of guest speakers and a walk around Auke Lake.
The all-day event will feature remarks from Chancellor John Pugh, numerous presentations and workshops all at the recreational facility. There will be food, door prizes, and service awards courtesy of the Chancellor. Wear your favorite Hawaiian shirt and loose-fitting clothes. Departments should arrange for student employees to cover for the day so regular employees can participate in the activities.
