Spring 2011 Enrollment Up, Gap expected to Narrow
Spring enrollment looking strong
"At this point, spring enrollment is looking strong for all four UAS schools (i.e., A&S +17.8%, Education +30.2%, Management +5.5%, Career Ed +7.1%). However, I suspect that the positive early gap is more a reflection of the earlier registration patterns of our growing full-time student body than just pure enrollment growth. In other words, I anticipate that the gap will narrow over the coming weeks. Traditionally, we lose a few students over the winter break and we are often not equipped to fully explain why. We need to remain vigilant in our retention efforts, despite our positive early spring enrollment reports."
