Martin Honored by Board of Regents at September Meeting

A reception was held at the Glacier View Room September 27 to honor Regent Bob Martin and his service to the university. Approximately 60 people attended. He was greeted enthusiastically receiving handshakes and congratulatory hugs from regents and UA administration.
UAS Chancellor John Pugh shared with everyone present about Bob Martin's many contributions to the people of Southeast Alaska and Regent Mary Hughes spoke about her dear friend and colleague who's influence will be forever present and how the Board of Regents is a better governing board because of his involvement.
President Gamble touched on the points of his enduring presence and continuity of his contributions, describing Bob Martin's impact as being so significant and having an effect on so many, students couldn't possibly comprehend that these were the actions of just one man.
