UAS Sound and Motion Spring Arts Series 2013

Most Fridays, Jan.18-April 26, 2013, 7 P.M.

The Juneau campus is gearing up for the fourth annual Sound and Motion Spring Arts Series. This line-up is the most exciting yet, and features partnerships with several community organizations, including the Juneau Symphony, JUMP Society, Alaska State Historical Films, Poetry Slam and the Goldtown Nickelodeon Theater.  In addition, many events will be held at the REC center to engage students and generate more public awareness of this great facility for arts events.  Student government is sponsoring the visit of one of the best singer-songwriters  in the country. San Francisco’s John Elliott will do a concert Friday, Feb. 1 at the REC and will also be on hand that weekend for workshops with students. Alaskapella will round out the season with a rousing concert in the Egan Lecture Hall on April 26. The line-up will be published in the next Soundings on January 11, 2013.
