New Hires at SOM and Library
Welcome Dr. Lindsey Doctorman and Bethany Wilkes
Dr. Lindsey Doctorman (formerly Lindsey Ellingson) has returned to UAS as a new faculty member with the Masters of Public Administration program. Her education and research experience is in the field of agricultural and resource economics. Natural Resource Policy is a new emphasis within the Public Administration program. She is currently teaching Resource Economic Issues and Policies of Alaska, and Sustainable Energy and Environment which focuses on sustainable energy from an interdisciplinary perspective relevant to Alaska and the Yukon. Dr. Doctorman’s current research focuses on forest economic and policy issues. Her past research focused on human behavior interactions with climate change issues and forestry in Europe.
Bethany Wilkes joins UAS as an Assistant Professor of Library Science and as the new Information Literacy Librarian. She is also the new library liaison to the Humanities. Bethany recently arrived in Juneau from Hong Kong where she was Coordinator of Reference and Instruction at the University of Hong Kong. Jonas Lamb is the new Assistant Professor of Library and Information Science and Public Services Librarian. He served for many years as the Electronic Services and Community Outreach Librarian at the Juneau Public Libraries. He will be the new Librarian liaison to the Natural Sciences and Career Education.
