UAS will co-host the JWAC Canada Forum from October 17-19 on the Auke Lake Campus. The event begins Thursday evening with an overview of Alaska-Canada relations by Professor William Morrison, emeritus Professor of History from the University of Northern British Columbia. He will also give the Evening at Egan talk on Friday about the sinking of the vessel Princess Sophia on Vanderbilt Reef in 1918. Yukon College President Karen Barnes will participate, and speakers will make presentations all day Friday and Saturday on topics such as climate change, First Nations, fisheries, transportation, mining, and environmental protection.
