Community Day on Campus 2008!

UAS joins Juneau Jazz and Classics for the annual Community Day on Campus Saturday May 24, 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

UAS joins Juneau Jazz and Classics for the annual Community Day on Campus Saturday May 24, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. The free event features musical performances by middle and high school students, DIPAC touch tank, hula dancing, lego league fun, kettle korn, fry bread with Wooch Een, balloon creations with Jeff Brown, the Southeast Road Runner finish line, Juneau Arts and Humanities Council quick draw competition and weather permitting, and pony rides. UAS offerings include ceramics demonstrations and alumni and admissions outreach booths. Andy Kline will be on hand with a remote from Excellent Radio, 100.7 FM. Festival ticketed events begin at 2 p.m. with a family concert, Jazz performances are set for 5 and 8 p.m. Details at: www.jazzandclassics.org
