Biography

Casey N. Bain is an advisor and coordinator at the UAS Center for Mine Training and School of Career Education, where he has devoted his efforts since 2017. Casey is originally from Southern California and transferred to UAS as an undergraduate student in the Fall of 2015 after completing an associate's degree at the community college level. During his time at UAS as a student, Casey garnered a deep respect for Alaska and its people for the opportunities afforded him during his education. Casey is an alum of the Ted Stevens Legislative Internship Program and graduated in 2017. Casey is married to his wife Mindy, who also graduated from UAS, and they just welcomed their first child into the world in 2022.  

Casey is currently the First-Semester Advisor for all technical programs located in Juneau at the UAS School of Career Education. Casey is also coordinating for the UAS Center for Mine Training, and managing some Dual Enrollment Articulation Agreements with local school districts to facilitate technical courses in those locations.
