Salary Information:This is a Student Assistant 1 position with minimum starting pay of $13.11 per hour with room for growth based on experience and demonstrated skills.

This recruitment is open to current students of the University of Alaska. All applicants must have a 2.0 cumulative GPA and maintain enrollment in at least 6 undergraduate credit hours, or 6 graduate credit hours for student employment during the academic year.
It Services will typically consider applicants who can work a minimum of 10 hours/weekly and maintain a consistent work schedule throughout the academic year.
This is a pooled position, which means that the position remains open over the entire academic year.
IT Services has several divisions that include the Helpdesk, Classroom Support, Media Services, Network and Desktop Support, and Information Systems. Applicants do not need to possess previous work experience for this position. However all applicants should have well-rounded communication skills to perform various customer service duties. Any additional training will be provided on the job by the IT Services staff.
A student in this position will operate and/or promote effective use of technology by providing direct technical assistance to UAS students, faculty and staff.
