New & Transfer Students
All new to UAS students are required to meet with an advisor each semester until they reach 30 college credits. We recommend all students meet with their advisor.
When you receive your admissions certificate, you will receive contact information to reach your advisor. Your advisor’s contact information is also available on the find your advisor tool. You may also call 907-796-6100 to determine who your advisor is.
New and transfer students are encouraged to prepare for their first meeting with an advisor by:
- Applying for admission
- Completing placement tests*
- Reviewing the semester course schedule
- Preparing a list of questions, concerns, interests and goals
*You may not need to take placement tests. Review the Juneau Testing website for details. Please contact your advisor for further information
