UAS Faculty Dr. Mique’l Dangeli Named as 2017 Emerging Scholar
Dangeli is one of twelve scholars under 40 to receive the honor

Dr. Mique’l Dangeli, Assistant Professor of Alaska Native Studies Arts at the University of Alaska Southeast (UAS) has been named one of twelve Emerging Scholars by the magazine Diverse: Issues in Higher Education. The January issue features profiles of all twelve “under 40” scholars from all over the United States.
In a press release, the magazine note that Emerging Scholars are individuals who are “making their mark in the academy through teaching, research and service. The outstanding scholars serve as an inspiration to both students and colleagues.”
