Biography

Kevin Krein is both a professor of philosophy and director of the UAS Outdoor Studies Program. Kevin’s outdoor interests are centered around alpine skiing and ski mountaineering. He has over 2 decades of experience backcountry skiing, ski mountaineering, and working as a professional guide. Kevin's primary philosophical work is in the areas of philosophy of sport and philosophy of mind. His recent book, Philosophy and Nature Sports, addresses philosophical issues concerning sports such as skiing, climbing, and surfing, that are centered on interactions between humans and nature.
