UAS Evening at Egan Series: "Economics of Climate Change" with Britteny Cioni

Cioni will review the latest research concerning the economic costs and benefits of climate change, market failures, and policy options.

Economists have called climate change the greatest market failure to date. Non-marketed goods present great difficulty for traditional economic markets. It has been difficult for economists to set values for esthetic and health related qualities such as clean air, water, and healthy ecosystems. UAS Assistant Professor of Economics Britteny Cioni will review the latest research concerning the economic costs and benefits of climate change, market failures, and policy options.

"Economics of Climate Change" is part of the Evening at Egan series and is Fri., Sept. 21 at 7 pm in the Egan Lecture Hall. The lectures are free and open to the public.

Britteny holds a Master of Science in Natural Resource Economics from the University of Arkansas – Fayetteville and is a Ph.D. Candidate at Colorado State University with specializations in Environmental Economics, Gender Economics and Economic Development. She is currently a term Assistant Professor of Economics at UAS.
