Films on Most Fridays in February at UAS
February is Film Month for the Sound and Motion Series at the University of Alaska Southeast Auke Lake campus. All events take place on Fridays at 7 p.m in the Egan Lecture Hall and are free to the public.

February is Film Month for the Sound and Motion Series at the University of Alaska Southeast Auke Lake campus. All events take place on Fridays at 7 p.m in the Egan Lecture Hall and are free to the public. February 3 Juneau film maker Greg Chaney will show a condensed version of his film Journey on the Wild Coast, discuss his editing process and engage in a question and answer session with the audience. This documentary about a couple’s attempt to walk, paddle and ski from Seattle to the Aleutians won awards at the Anchorage and Banff film festivals and has the honor of being selected for the Banff World Tour.
February 10 the Juneau Underground Motion Picture Society extends its Winter Fest of short films by local filmmakers to UAS. February 24 is the third annual presentation of Treasures from the State Film Library, featuring a sampling of vintage films and videos from the historical collection of the Alaska State Library. This evening hosted by curator Damon Stuebner has been very popular with audiences in recent years.
The Sound and Motion Spring Arts series runs through April.
