Perseverance Theatre and UAS offer a unique opportunity this Friday March 23, 7 p.m. at the next Sound and Motion arts event at the Egan Lecture Hall on the UAS Auke Lake campus.

Perseverance Theatre presents The Land Marks, a panel on cultural identity and place through theatre. How have the places you've lived marked your life story? What markers have you left in the places you've lived? Join theatre artists Marcus Gardley, Ishmael Hope, Flordelino Lagundino and Donna Walker-Kuhne in a conversation about the role of theatre in sustaining diverse communities and cultures.

The panel presentation is part of The Perseverance Theatre Land Marks Festival, a week-long conversation about place, culture, and identity in the theatre. This week of readings, performances, and special events runs March 19 – 23. The festival features playwrights, directors and actors sharing and discussing their work. The plays bring to light struggles with place, belonging, migration and cultural identity both historically and today. Audience members have the rare opportunity to see exciting new and never produced works as well as plays in progress.
