Sound and Motion: Treasures from the State Film Historical Collection with Damon Stuebner

At the next Sound and Motion, archivist Damon Stuebner hosts the fourth annual collection of vintage and historic films from the Alaska State Archives and Library.

At the next Sound and Motion, archivist Damon Stuebner hosts the fourth annual collection of vintage and historic films from the Alaska State Archives and Library.

This year's selection includes a promotional film highlighting Alaska people, arts and travel; a film by the late Chuck Keen on the history of the Alaska Marine Highway;  a film on daily life in the Aleutian village of Atka and Alaska State Museum short promos featuring actor James Earl Jones.  Treasures from the State Film Historical Collection takes place on Friday, Feb. 8th, 7 p.m. in the Egan Lecture Hall at the University of Alaska Southeast.

All events in the UAS Spring Arts Sound and Motion series are FREE and open to the public.
