UAS Offers Special Enrollment Opportunities
Programs "Finish College Alaska" and "Come Home to Alaska" help students with degree completion.
Date of Press Release: August 8, 2016
University of Alaska Southeast has launched Finish College Alaska, a new program for Alaskans who have attended college but have not completed a degree. Advisors working with Finish College Alaska will contact prospective students across the entire state of Alaska, responding to requests for information about how to incorporate credits earned in the past into a new degree.
The program focuses in particular in finishing UAS Bachelor’s degrees available online in areas like business management, accounting, liberal arts, social sciences, and education. A new mobile-friendly website finishcollege.alaska.edu was launched on August 1 and features a chat function for potential students to get answers quickly.
UAS has also created Come Home to Alaska, which enables out-of-state students who have Alaska-resident parents or grandparents to pay in-state tuition. Those interested can find out more through the UAS Admissions office website uas.alaska.edu/admissions.
Innovative opportunities like these are making it easier for students to reach their educational goals. UAS is helping students learn the skills desired by employers. Programs are available both on campus and online. With small classes and top-notch faculty, UAS Campuses in Juneau, Ketchikan, and Sitka provide a rich educational experience in a beautiful setting. Classes start August 29.
