Romee McAdams Joins UAS as Coordinator for Equity and Compliance

The University of Alaska Southeast (UAS) is pleased to announce the appointment of Romee McAdams as its new Coordinator for Equity and Compliance.

The University of Alaska Southeast (UAS) is pleased to announce the appointment of Romee McAdams as its new Coordinator for Equity and Compliance. She began working for UAS on June 8. Her responsibilities at UAS include Title IX, Equal Employment Opportunity issues, the American Disabilities Act/504 requirements, and Clery Act compliance. She comes to UAS from Southeast Alaska Regional Health Consortium (SEARHC) where she has worked for many years in human resources, planning & development, operations and behavioral health.

McAdams has resided in Juneau since 2014, but previously lived and worked in Sitka where she was employed by SEARHC and also the Sitka Tribe of Alaska as the Education Director and as the Indian Vocational Education Program Coordinator. She holds a Master of Arts degree in Leadership and Organizational Studies from Fresno Pacific University in California, as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and English Writing from Concordia College in Minnesota.

UAS Chancellor Rick Caulfield commented that “we are very fortunate to have someone of Romee’s talent and experience in this important role here at UAS. She has a wealth of experience in human resources and is getting up to speed quickly about ensuring that our campuses are free of discrimination on the basis of sex, including any sexual misconduct.”
