The University of Alaska Southeast will launch UA Giving Day at noon Tuesday, March 24. The annual 49-hour campaign unites communities and donors across Alaska to support student success, reduce financial barriers to learning, and expand access to real-world experiences, including field research, internships and community-based projects.

Several matches and challenges will amplify the impact of every gift. This year’s highlights include the Jan Straley Whale Research Support Match, two mental wellness support matches, and the UAS Alumni Association Scholarship Challenge. In honor of the Native and Rural Student Center’s 30th anniversary, two additional challenges will celebrate and strengthen support for Alaska Native and rural students.

What: A 49-hour fundraising event and community celebration.
Who: UAS students, alumni, faculty, staff, donors and community supporters.
When: Noon Tuesday, March 24 through 1 p.m. Thursday, March 26.
Where: Online at givingday.alaska.edu/UAS.
Why: To invest in students through scholarships, programs, mental wellness resources, and opportunities to build career-ready skills, while advancing research that serves Alaska’s communities.

Join the 49-hour movement. Make a gift and share your support online to help unlock challenge funds that directly benefit UAS students and broaden pathways for hands-on learning.
