The University of Alaska Juneau campus is closing today, March 3rd at 5 pm, due to expected heavy snow accumulation and unsafe conditions this evening. This includes all campus offices, the Egan Library, and the Recreation Center

Students & Faculty: Online and hybrid classes should continue in their remote format. Classes held in person, but can pivot to an online format for the evening, should do so at the discretion of the faculty members. Students should check their Blackboard and emails for additional details.

Juneau campus residential students, you will receive direct communication about dining options.

Staff: Employees who have remote work agreements in place, as well as those who can effectively pivot to working remotely this evening, should do so. Designated emergency and essential staff should maintain their on-site duties or report for duty as directed by their supervisors. Please refer to the full inclement weather policy guidance for more information.

We will be monitoring the conditions this evening and overnight and, if additional closure is needed tomorrow, we will notify the Juneau campus community by 6:30 am.
