Sitka Students
The UAS Sitka campus Student Success Center sends out a getting started packet to all students via email starting two weeks before classes start through the drop date. Sitka Campus Instructors also should have this packet posted in their course site for students who need a refresher.
The getting started packet includes important links and information that students will need to be successful in their UAS course(s). This includes information such as how to set up a proctor, how to schedule an exam at UAS Sitka, registration and drop dates, how to order books, the academic calendar, how to access your course site and UAS email, and many others.
Students needing assistance should contact the UAS Sitka Campus Academic Advising Office at 907-747-7777 or email sitka.advising@alaska.edu. One-on-one appointments available.

Online-Only Students
We highly encourage all new students to complete e-orientation. This is a program that will help you better understand how to transition to UAS by providing information about campus resources, academic expectations, time management, getting involved on campus and online, the Student Code of Conduct, and Title IX. This allows you to prepare for being at UAS student prior to classes beginning, giving you the best opportunity for success.
E-Orientation takes approximately 2 hours. In order to log in to e-orientation, you will need your UA login. If you have forgotten your login or have not yet retrieved it, utilize the Access Elmo link to retrieve it.
