Biography
Beverley comes to UAS with more than 20 years of progressive leadership in the non-profit and public sector. Prior to coming to to UAS, she was the assistant director of the UCLA Labor Occupational Safety and Health research unit within the Institute for Research on Labor and Employment (IRLE). She previously served on the executive leadership teams at SAJE (Strategic Actions for a Just Economy) where she led the Development department. Following that, she served as Director of Operations at the Los Angeles Neighborhood Land Trust. Her areas of expertise include development, communications, administration, human resources, and finance.
She holds an MBA from the Peter F. Drucker and Masatoshi Ito Graduate School of Management at Claremont Graduate University as well as a Master’s certificate in leadership from the Drucker School. She also has a BSc. in business administration from Mount St. Mary’s University in Los Angeles.
A founding member of Eastside Los Angeles NetSquared, Beverley was on the production team of the LA Idea Project, and served as social media manager for Cesar’s Last Fast, a 2014 Sundance feature documentary.
