Biography

Bobbi was born and raised in Southern Maryland with a passion for school and outdoors. She was involved in an Education program throughout high school and relocated to Florida for college and life thereafter. Following 3 years of teaching various forms of Special Education in the public, private, and charter school systems within Florida, Bobbi and her husband started their Coast Guard adventure in Hawai'i. On Oahu, Bobbi worked as a Special Education teacher at the state's first public charter school and furthered her love for nature. Here, Bobbi and her husband also began their National Park journey together, which has successfully led to 25 park visits together to date. In 2024, they moved again to Chincoteague Island, Virginia where Bobbi tackled her graduate degree in Higher Education, making a shift in her career path. Come July 2026, she moved to Sitka and happily joined our UAS Sitka team as the Campus Support and Registration Specialist. She is looking forward to the opportunities this role and campus have to offer, and is eager to explore the glorious national parks spread throughout the state of Alaska. (She also loves rainbows, so please let her know at the Front Desk if you see one!)
