Biography

Originally from Savannah, Georgia, Scott currently serves as the UAS Chief Information Officer.  He has previously served under this capacity at two prior institutions, having held multiple leadership roles in public and private state and independent universities over the past 25 years.  His professional background includes leading multiple technology divisions on a director level, as well as the  chairing of several consortium committees comprising over 200 independent colleges and universities aimed at developing and promoting best practices in the usage of technology in the education environment.  Scott holds a B.S. in Psychology from Armstrong Atlantic State University, and a M.Ed. in Educational Technology from Georgia Southern University.  He is passionate about effective communication, change management, organizational leadership, student success, and helping teams to thrive.  He is humbled and thrilled to be a part of the UAS team and is grateful for the opportunity to learn and lead here in SouthEast Alaska.  Scott is married to a doctoral nursing faculty member and has 5 children.  Outside of his day job, he enjoys outdoor activities, serving in various church ministries, playing percussion and singing, as well obsessing over all things weather.
