This is Skíl Jáadei. Her English name is Linda Schrack. She is from the Raven side, and she comes from the Shark House. She is a woman of the Yahkw clan. She teaches the Haida language (remotely) from Ketchikan.

Skíl Jáadei’s grandparents are the late Dr. Robert Cogo and Nora (Edenshaw) Cogo who were actively involved with language preservation in the 1970’s. Her grandfather received an Honorary degree of Doctor of Letters from the University of Alaska-Fairbanks in 1985. The citation was bestowed upon him for being an outstanding leader and a linguist for his scholarly contributions to the preservation of the Haida culture. Her grandparents had a strong influence on her, they always expressed the importance of education. Because of their hard work and contributions to the preservation of Haida language and culture, it has become Skíl Jáadei’s passion and life mission to continue the work of her grandparents and others that have gone before us. It is important to her that the Haida language and culture continue for future generations. While Haida is her focus, she also advocates for Tsimshian and Tlingit languages and culture."
