Biography

Michelle is the Administrative Manager for the School of Education. In her role, she oversees the day-to-day operations of the school, including budgeting, personnel, student services, academic scheduling, accreditation support, and program administration. She enjoys helping connect people, processes, and resources to support student success and advance the preparation of Alaska's future educators.

A proud UAS alumna, Michelle earned her Bachelor of Arts in Social Science from UAS in 2011 and completed her Master of Public Administration degree from UAS in 2026. Her connection to the university spans both her educational and professional journey, giving her a deep appreciation for the impact UAS has on students, communities, and the people across Alaska.

One of Michelle's favorite things about working in the School of Education is supporting students as they move from prospective teachers to classroom professionals serving communities across the state. She values the strong relationships built between students, faculty, staff, and partner school districts and believes those connections are one of the program's greatest strengths.

Outside of work, Michelle is active in the Juneau community through volunteer roles supporting public education, youth programs, and local sports organizations. She enjoys spending time with her family, cheering on her children at their activities, reading, cooking for people, and traveling.
