Biography

Dr. Billingsley serves as the provost at the University of Alaska Southeast and functions as the chief academic officer of the university. Before coming to UAS, he spent 22 years at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, where he was a professor of history and served in several senior leadership roles, including Associate Vice Chancellor for Faculty Affairs, Associate Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Associate Vice Chancellor for Enrollment, and Interim Provost.
