The University of Alaska Southeast hosted this panel discussion on Indigenous Peoples' Day 2021 that featured esteemed guests Larry Kimura (Hawaiian), Leslie Harper (Ojibwe), Miqueʼl Dangeli (Tsimshian), Joel Isaak (Dena'ina), and Roy Mitchell (Alaska Native Language Preservation and Advisory Council). This panel was hosted by X̱ʼunei Lance Twitchell and Ronalda Cadiente-Brown.

In the 2021-2022 academic year, the UAS Sitka Campus and the Title III SUPPORT Grant Team hosted a series of discussion panels on land acknowledgements with local stakeholders, with financial support from the UAS Juneau Native and Rural Student Center.
