Staff Excellence Award Winners
Past Winners of the UAS Staff Excellence Award
The UAS Staff Excellence Award is an annual opportunity to recognize and celebrate staff members who make outstanding contributions to their departments, campus communities, and the mission of the University of Alaska Southeast.
Each year, fellow staff members nominate their peers for demonstrating excellence through service, collaboration, leadership, innovation, and dedication to the university community. Nominees are evaluated and scored by Staff Council in five categories using the examples and stories shared through the nomination process.
Winners from the Juneau (2), Sitka (1), and Ketchikan (1) campuses are honored during Staff Development Day and receive either a $1,500 prize or an additional day of vacation leave.
What makes this recognition especially meaningful is that it comes directly from our peers. The Staff Excellence Award reflects the appreciation, respect, and gratitude of colleagues who witness the hard work, compassion, and commitment staff bring to UAS every day.
