ED 593 Host Teacher Courses

How to Register for ED s593: Student Teaching/Practicum Courses

If you are unable to register during the first two weeks of the semester and are registering for more than one credit, please see Step 10. Log In: Access UAOnline and log in with your credentials.

1. Log In: Access UAOnlineand log in with your credentials.
2. Select Student tab
3. Select Registration
4. Under Pre-Registration, click Select Term
5. Under Register, click Schedule Planner and Registration
6. Click "+ Add Course"
   1. Search by CRN - please refer to CRN given to you for this course.
   2. Click "+Add Course Number" to add to schedule
   3. Once all courses are added, click "Go Back to Generate Schedules"
7. Click "Generate Schedules"
   1. Hover over the magnifying glass to get a glance at the schdule
   2. Click "View" to view more details
8. Once the appropriate schedule has been found
   1. Select the "Send to Shopping Cart" button at the top of the page. A pop-up will appear, click "Continue"
   2. From the "Schedule Planner Registration Cart" click "Complete Registration Changes" to enroll in the class(es).
9. Select View/Pay Bill at the top of the page. Contact the Student Accounts Office for further assistance or questions regarding payment.

Note: If you are registering for a variable-credit course, and you need more than one credit, please fill and e-sign the add/drop form and submit it to uas.registrar@alaska.edu. This direction only applies 2 weeks after the start of the semester. 

How to Apply as a Non-Degree Seeking Student

If you do not have a University of Alaska ID Number or have not taken a course within the last 2 years, you will have to apply to UAS as a Non-Degree seeking student to reactivate/create your student account. If you are not already part of a degree program apply as a non-degree seeking student and then register for Professional Development/593 classes through UAOnline.

Students are allowed to drop the class prior to the first meeting. No drop or withdrawal option is available once the class starts.

Instructions for How to Pay Online

Don't wait in line; pay tuition and fees online! The TouchNet system is open 24 hours a day, and you are able to provide permission to others to access and pay your student account online.

Instructions for online fee payment (credit card or personal check)

1. Go to UAOnline
2. Select Student tab
3. Select Student Account
4. Select Make Payments or View an OnDemand Schedule-Bill
5. Carefully read the instructions and terms on this page
6. Select Make a Payment, select term, amount, and payment method*
7. Print the confirmation page for your records. Review the Account Detail for Term to verify the payment was accepted.

*If paying by credit card, choose the type of card; enter the credit card number and the expiration date. NOTE: The address on your credit card bill must match the billing address that you enter on this screen. If paying by check, enter the routing number, account number, name, address and amount. Select Continue. If you agree with the terms, select on: I Agree.
